So, I will give you my honest opinion. This is a complex soap chemically. Lots of stuff going on. It is incredible. And normally I buy unscented soaps but he nailed this one. And for the price? Insane. This SV quality soap, the only two you need.
This is an outstanding base with an excellent fragrance. Slick, protective and excellent post-shave. This is my first product from Will and its amazing. Henson +++ with Wizamet blades.
It's already been said everywhere, but it's true - this is the greatest smelling, shaving, and lathering soap I've ever used.
I left some in the cup and when I went back into the bathroom I had my olfactories knocked out with admiration.
They can't keep the stuff in stock at all. I tried another brand and it's nice but not the same. I'm obsessed now and waiting to get the balm and splash.

I dont usually write reviews but my love for this shaving soap is strong enough that I just have to.
I bought my first shaving brush a while back and was looking for a good "forever" shaving soap to go with it. I found what I was looking for. Was initially expecting it to be a loose puck in the container instead of molded in but that was just my initially poor understanding talking and has barely had an effect on my experience.
The Smell.
I am a very picky guy when it comes to scents and I can firmly say that I have zero complaints. Seville is a "non-chemically" scent which sounds like a low bar but enough others have failed to rise above that it needs to be said. The scent is pleasant and makes me feel nostalgic but not know what for. The words classic, old-timey, and barbershop come to mind.
The Shave
For context I use a Henson AL13.
I cant compare it to other shaving soaps as this is admittedly my first (and likely only one after such a positive experience) but probably the best shaves I have ever had came with this soap. After getting my fancy reusable razor I was finding my old can of Barbasol didnt do the job anymore so I wanted to go old fashioned. Since switching to shaving soap I have had nothing but smooth shaves, no cuts, & no razor burn.
On a side note I want to send thanks to the man the myth and the legend Will Carius himself for helping me out with a shipping issue I had.

The scent is really good but I give it a four out of five because it is a scent that everyone likes and all to common. Actually a 4.6 because it is really good and understandably a Barrister and Mann favorite.
I have it and use it often, but so common. A winner because it is a winning combination made for everyone.

I'm a relativity new adherent to shaving soap, and Seville might be the peak (at least until they reissue Melange, hint hint nudge nudge). It's just so nice to smell good in the morning, it foams up nice once you learn how to use it, and it lasts a long time! I shave my head, and the last time I bought soap was 2023, so it's an amazing value.
This was my second time purchasing the Seville shave soap, I first ordered it at least 5 years ago and I still have the container. This batch has more of a citrus scent than the other one which isn’t a bad thing. I occasionally open the old container and can still smell that wonderful fragrance. I will be sampling others soon you can’t miss with Barrister and Mann
