Chypres ("SHEEP-ruhs") are perhaps our favorite family of fragrances here at Barrister and Mann®. They have a long and storied history, going all the way back to megalomaniac and perfume tycoon François Coty, who created the family in 1917 (and promptly sparked a fragrance revolution).

Inspired by smells indigenous to the island nation of Cyprus, Le Grand Chypre ("Leh Grond SHEEP-ruh") combines notes of bergamot, lime, labdanum, oakmoss, and a touch of patchouli to produce an elegant, citrusy heart. We wrapped it in notes of peach, rose, frankincense, cedar, cinnamon, and other supporting smells to create an elegant, slightly fruity, freshly floral design perfectly suited to the refined shaver.

Directions for Use
Spray it on! We don't recommend spraying fragrance on clothing because it can stain, so our usual method is to spray some on your neck and wrists. We get about 4-6 hours per application.

Le Grand Chypre

I was first introduced to the scent Chypre by my mother-in-law who bought me an aftershave she remembered her father using when she was growing up in Russia. It was really my kind of scent, but I couldn't find anything like it in the U.S. Then I found B&M's Le Grand Chypre and it is amazing. I bought both the eau de toilette and aftershave splash and love them both. I hope this will always be around!

Amazing!

B&M products all have the most complex and delightful scents of any other cologne, soap, etc. that I’ve ever used. Can’t imagine switching to another brand after getting used to the luxurious fragrances that B&M puts out. I’m especially fond of Le Grand Cheprye and Lavanille. I stay fully stocked!

Smells just like the soap and aftershave. If your not familiar its a dirty resinous citrus.... best way I can describe it. The first time for me it was so unique in the best way. I would definitely recommend it
